1. In welchem Bereich absolvierst du dein Praktikum bei Emakina und was sind deine Aufgaben?

Mein Praktikum absolviere ich im Bereich Frontend Development und bin für das Visualisieren von E-Commerce Daten mittels PowerBI zuständig. Genau genommen arbeite ich gerade an einer RFM-Analyse, einem Scoringverfahren, das Kunden anhand von drei Kennzahlen in unterschiedliche Segmente einteilt. Ziel der Analyse ist es, Kunden zu identifizieren, die eine hohe Wahrscheinlichkeit aufweisen, auf Marketingmaßnahmen zu reagieren.

2. Was gefällt dir besonders an deinem Praktikum?

Mir gefällt sehr gut, dass ich mit verschiedenen Kollegen zusammenarbeite und dadurch Erfahrung sammeln und Wissen in den verschiedensten Bereichen erweitern kann. Außerdem wurde ich bei Emakina sehr freundlich aufgenommen und fühle mich sehr wohl.

3. Was magst du an Wien besonders gerne?

Na ja, ganz klar, die Vielfalt! In Wien kann man nicht nur prunkvolle Paläste und historische Sehenswürdigkeiten bewundern, sondern auch ordentlich schlemmen und an den verschiedensten Orten Kraft tanken. Nicht umsonst ist Wien zum 10. Mal zur lebenswertesten Stadt der Welt gekürt worden.

4. Welcher ist der beste Ratschlag, den du jemals bekommen hast?

Trink deinen Kaffee schwarz.

Every successful project at Emakina is based on the hard work of our team. Therefore, we would like to introduce our colleagues: This time our Intern and student of Media Technology Samuel David Beer answers five interesting questions.

1. In which area you doing your internship at Emakina and what are your tasks?

I am doing my internship in the area of frontend development and am responsible for the visualization of e-commerce data using PowerBI. To be exact, I am currently working on an RFM analysis, which is a scoring method that divides customers into different segments based on three key figures. The goal of the analysis is to identify customers who are highly likely to react to marketing activities.

2. What do you like most about your internship?

I really like the fact that I work with different colleagues during my internship, which gives me the opportunity to gain experience and accumulate knowledge in a variety of areas. Furthermore, I was warmly welcomed and feel very comfortable here.

3. What do you particularly like about Vienna?

Well, of course, the variety! In Vienna, you can not only admire magnificent palaces and historical sightseeings, but also have a good feast and recharge your batteries at many different places. It is not a coincidence that Vienna has been selected as the most liveable city in the world for the tenth time.

4. What is the best advice you ever got?

Drink your coffee black.
